South Africans love to point fingers at the government for the country’s economic struggles, but according to Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, the blame doesn’t stop there. She says ordinary citizens are just as guilty.

In a passionate message, Ngobese-Zuma called on her fellow South Africans to stop supporting foreign-owned businesses and instead put their money into local hands.

“South Africans, we are also part of the problem. Stop supporting foreign-owned businesses,” she said.
She explained that while many people are quick to criticize the government, they ignore their own role in the situation.

“Because I’m saying to all of us here, we can blame the government over there, but we are also the problem. Stop supporting their businesses.”

According to her, foreign business owners don’t take South Africans seriously because locals keep handing over their hard-earned money.

“If you see them laughing at you when you are coming here, they’re laughing because they think of us as a joke.

That’s how they think of us. They think of us as a joke. Because we take our money and we give it to them.”

She then posed a tough question about the country’s struggling economy.

“And when you cry that the economy is not growing, how is the economy going to grow if the money that belongs to this country is in Somalia?”.
