Sports journalist Andy Kwaku Obeng, popularly known as Maestro, has made allegations about the off-field conduct of some Black Stars players during Ghana’s campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Maestro, who said he was embedded with the team during the tournament, claimed some players spent their free time pursuing women instead of remaining focused on the competition.
According to him, while the team was staying at a hotel in New York, some players travelled to other states to have s3x, while others reportedly received women in their hotel rooms.
“When the team was staying in a hotel in New York, some players traveled to other states of America just to have s3x with all kinds of women, while others that stayed had women swarming their hotel rooms,” he alleged.
The journalist did not identify any of the players involved or provide evidence to support the claims during the interview.
Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign ended on July 4 after a 1-0 defeat to Colombia in the Round of 32.
A 14th-minute goal from Jhon Arias secured the win for Colombia at Kansas City Stadium, ending the Black Stars’ run in the tournament.
