The Ghana Police Service has launched investigations into a shooting incident involving Sarah Adwoa Safo at Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region.
According to a statement signed by Head of Regional Public Affairs Unit, Superintendent Juliana Obeng, preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred on the morning of Sunday, June 21, while Adwoa Safo was visiting her late father’s residence at Kwabenya.
Police said she sustained a gunshot injury to her left ear and subsequently reported the incident to the Kwabenya Police.
She also presented a vehicle bearing registration number GN 3482-24, which police said had visible gunshot damage.
The statement indicated that the victim has been issued a Police Medical Report Form and is currently receiving medical attention.
Investigators have retained the vehicle for forensic examination as efforts continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify all persons connected to the incident.
