August 17 has become a special date for veteran Kumawood actress Akosua Fosuah Boafo, popularly known as Odo Black, as she celebrated her move to the United States, becoming an American citizen and her husband’s birthday all on the same day.
The US-based actress, who has stayed largely away from the spotlight in recent years, shared a TikTok video on Monday, August 17, 2026, singing and giving thanks for the three milestones.
“August 17th is special to me for so many reasons. 1, I came to the US on August 17th. I became a US citizen on August 17th and August 17th is my husband’s birthday. Too many reasons to give thanks. Now CLACK IT!” she wrote.
Her return to social media also gave fans a fresh look at the actress, years after she was a familiar face in Kumawood films.
Many viewers focused on her changed appearance, with comments pointing to her glowing skin and confident look as they welcomed the veteran actress back into the public space.
