Ghana’s Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has extended his best wishes to final-year students preparing to sit the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and urged them to maintain discipline and honesty throughout the testing period.
Speaking on 13 May, Mr Iddrisu called on candidates across the country to remain focused and resist all forms of examination malpractice, warning that any student found cheating would face the prescribed sanctions. He encouraged students to study diligently, remain confident, and rely on their own knowledge to secure strong results.
The minister also issued a stern reminder to teachers and invigilators to act professionally and refrain from offering assistance during examinations, stressing that the integrity of the process depends on both candidates and supervisors. Mr Iddrisu expressed confidence that, with discipline and commitment, Ghana’s candidates would perform well in the 2026 WASSCE.
