Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda Ocloo has defended the recognition she received at the 6th Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Awards, insisting that her achievements in office justify the honour.

Speaking after receiving the award, the Minister dismissed suggestions that she was surprised by the recognition, stating that her work and contributions had earned her the accolade.

“I wasn’t surprised of the award I received. I’ve done a lot that I deserve the recognition,” she said.

Her remarks come amid public discussions surrounding the awards scheme and the criteria used to honour government officials. Ocloo maintained that her performance since assuming office has delivered tangible results and warranted acknowledgement.
