Showboy has encouraged young people interested in technology to pursue cybersecurity, coding and other legitimate digital skills instead of getting involved in cyber fr+ud.

Speaking after Abu Trica’s extradition to the United States, the Ghanaian socialite said many people ignore advice to acquire skills that can provide lawful opportunities.

“When I tell you to go to school and learn, you don’t listen. Take cybersecurity classes and coding or forex to better what you’re doing,” he said in a video sighted by Ghbase News.

He argued that technology continues to evolve and those with technical knowledge should use it to adapt rather than engage in criminal activity.

“Don’t you see the Americans do it? American hackers go to school to better themselves and change as the system does,” he said.

Showboy added that he believes more arrests could follow if people fail to change their approach.

“Very soon they will arrest all of them, and I will come here to explain it because they don’t learn. They’re fools,” he said.

His comments come days after Abu Trica was extradited to the US, where federal prosecutors have charged him with conspiracy to commit wire fr+ud and money l+undering over an alleged romance fr+ud scheme.
